I am a retired emergency physician of 30 years. I spent several years on a federal urban search and rescue team, and have worked in disaster preparedness and epidemiology in a State Health Department. I continue to follow international disease surveillance, pandemic flu preparedness, and bioterrorism.
When I’m not blogging, I like to spend time hiking, kayaking, biking and annoying my children.
